Here I’m going to over some concept or things to use as reference for a whitebox for a shop facility level for GrillVR. This is going to be concept art pieces with citing’s, and some photos that I will use as an idea of color, theme, technology, and much more. Mainly, the goal is going to be a facility laboratory setting. Where there’s not much colorfulness, but there’s advanced technology that the player is involved in for the story of the game, where they’re grilling in different environments and different times. Below you’ll see the concept art and some of my descriptions that I see from the concept environments that I want to use to design the Shop Facility for GrillVR.

So in the 3d environment built by KevinsLab, I like the simplicity of style it is, as long as with all the added detail to it, like the book shelves, the lighting, the simplistic feel and look to the computers. I like how incredibly detailed it is with this laboratory and it’s something I want to invest in as well is creating an environment with some detailing.

Obj Scene Cartoon – By TurboSquid

The Obj Scene Cartoon by Turbosquid, makes a really simple environment. It’s not much detail, but it gives the main idea and setting of a lab. I don’t want to go too simple, but I wanted to look up references of environments that were, and how I could look to change something that was made super simple, and add more detail to it.

Mysterious Laboratory – 3D model by StanST (@stanst) [0e990d0]

I used the Mysterious Laboratory by StanST as a reference because of the detail on the props. Something I lack of is 3D assets so I want to make sure I look at whiteboxing something that could possibly be turned into a 3D Object by a 3D artist. There’s something that hits a good lab feeling with this one, as it is simple texturing and colors, but even as having simple objects, it still tells a story and feel of where the player is and are going to be.
